Nik Petrek is a luthier based in Frankfurt/Germany. And a friend of a friend and also very active in the internets. He has several very nice videos on his youtube channel showing the detail and craftsmanship that goes into working with or building instruments.
Just recently he released this episode where he works on a really nice 1966 Jazzmaster with some, well, issues, and a not-so-optimal repair done somewhere in the past …
… and I think you may enjoy this as much as I did :-). Most Offsets that survived the 70ies and 80ies have seen some abuse, and restoring it to the way it was meant to be is very satisfying to watch.
